As I'm sitting here is my suite high above the Las Vegas strip, I got to thinking how many people in this town alone talk to each other about what they are doing and how many, many people seem to make most of their income from referrals and recommendations. That got me to thinking how people use testimonials or referrals anywhere, which lead me to LinkedIn.
LinkedIn is a social networking site for business professionals that has over time, been a great marketing tool for me, but more than that, it has connected me to many people and opportunities I would not have otherwise had access to. When I asked a couple of my new JV partners and connections in LinkedIn what lead them to contacting me, they had a laundry list of reasons, but one of them was the recommendations others had given about me, my company, and our service.
